Persuasive Writing

I was learning to write a persuasive piece of writing. I can think of lots of reasons why Ice-Cream is better than chocolate. it was easy to persuade the reader to think that Ice-cream is better than chocolate because Ice-Cream is better than chocolate because Ice-Cream is very yummy!

Youthtown

I love Youthtown because the games are fun. At Youthtown I learnt that if you bend down you can balance better.my favourite game we played is cat and mouse.

Telling Time

I was learning to understand 24 hour time and write the time in numbers and words. I can read the time on the clock and write it in digital time then in words. It was easy because I had already learnt how to tell the time.

Art Exhibition

Antonyms and Synonyms

I was learning to recognise a range of language features I can identify different language features and I understand the meaning of different language features. It was tricky to find antonyms and synonyms because we were unsure of the meaning of some of the words.

Acrostic Poems

I was learning to write an acrostic poem. I can write an acrostic poem about Halloween. It was easy to write an acrostic poem because there is lots of things we can say about the topic; Halloween.

I was learning to write a narrative.

I can describe the characters and setting.

It was easy because the picture's helped me to write my story.

Word Mania

I was learning to make words using different letters.

I can make lots of words using the letter provided.

It was easy because there was lots of letters to choose from.

The Builders Pet

I was learning to make and justify inferences. I can identify and describe what the author wanted me to feel,think about or see in the text. It was easy because I read the book carefully.

Frog Jump Multiplication

                                             I was learning to solve multiplication problems.
                                           I can multiply two digits together to reach an answer.
                                           It was tricky because I don't know my times tables that well.

Chinese Cultural Lessons

Contractions

I was learning how to make contractions. I can make two longer words into one shorter word. It was easy because the new word had parts of the two words in it.

Punctuation Marks

I was learning about punctuation marks. I know when to use punctuation marks. It was easy because we have been practising using punctuation marks.

Place Value

I was learning about place value. I can identify how many hundreds,tens and ones were in 3 digit numbers. It was easy because the video we watched in class explained place value well.

Making Inferences

I was learning to make inferences. I can identify and describe what the author wanted me to feel,think about or see in the text It was tricky because it was not always easy to find the clues in the text

Skip Counting in 10's

I was learning to skip count forwards backwards in 10's. I can skip count forwards and backwards in 10's starting from any numbers. It was easy to skip count in 10's because ten is a tidy number.

Making Connections

I was learning to make connections. I can use personal experiences to connect ideas in the text (text to self).It was tricky to make connections because the Grandad in the story was very different to my Grandad.

Road Safety

1.Slow down around schools. 2.Look at the rear vision mirror before you back out. 3.Don't run on the road.

Vowel Sounds

I was learning about the short and long vowel sounds. I can tell the difference between the long and short vowel sounds. It was easy to tell the differince between the vowel sounds because the video explaned it well.

Skip Counting

I was learning to skip count in 2's and 5's.I learnt how to skip count in 2's and 5's.It was easy to skip count in 2's and 5's becaese i have learnt this befor.

Water Skills

Summarising

I was learning to summairise information.I know how to summairise information.It was tricky to summairise information becuese i have never done it befor.
